POLYISOCYANATES WHICH CONTAIN BIURET GROUPS ARE PREPARED BY A PROCESS WHICH COMPRISES REACTING A POLYISOCYANATE WITH A DIPRIMARY AROMATIC DIAMINE THE REACTIVITY OF WHICH AMINES WITH ISOCYANATES ARE ATTENUATED BY ELECTROPHLILIC SUBSTITUENTS OR SUBSTITUENTS WHICH STERICALLY HINDER THE AMINO GROUPS SUCH THAT INTIMATE MIXING OF THE REACTANTS IS POSSIBLE WITH NO IMMEDIATE REACTION SUCH AS, FOR EXAMPLE, THE FORMATION OF POLYUREAS TAKING PLACE. |
