abstract A light-emitting element is disclosed with a light-emitting layer containing a host material added with a small amount of guest material, wherein color purity can be improved as well as reduced a driving voltage. Color purity can be improved as well as reduced a driving voltage especially in a light-emitting element added with a red light-emitting material as a guest material. A light-emitting layer is disclosed that includes a first host material, which is an organic compound having a hole transporting property; a second host material, which is an organic compound having a larger dipole moment than that of the first host material; and a guest material having an electron-withdrawing group.
