Specifically, driving voltage is reduced for a doped device formed by a host material added with a red emission material having an electron-withdrawing group as a guest material. Further, color purity of the doped device is improved with reducing driving voltage. Specifically, color purity of the doped device formed by a host material added with a red emission material having an electron-withdrawing group as a guest material is improved with reducing driving voltage. Organic compounds having a hole transportation property are used as a host material 521 for an electroluminescent device having a light-emitting layer 513 formed by the host material 521 and a guest material 522 having an electron-withdrawing group.
