abstract The present invention provides a means for an enterprise, such as a health care facility, to view information as it resides in the individual disparate system's databases. As information portal is created into all of these systems by connecting one server to all of these data sources and push data to the user via a web browser based on a set of business rules. Dynamically deciding what to display for the user and what not to display would reduce the “time to market” for the data to the user and allow the user to make more intelligent, more accurate conclusions in his/her job. By leaving the data intact and in-place, the cost associated with such an enterprise project is eliminated and its accuracy is guaranteed at the time the user requests the data. The information portal has a database to house profile information about the users; names, departments, phone numbers, pager numbers, etc., and then use this data to build an online “Corporate Directory” for employees to search.
