abstract The present invention provides a composition comprising at least one dopant, and a polymer comprising at least one unit selected from the group consisting of: wherein M is selected from the group consisting of Fe, Co, or Ni; R1, R2, R3, R4 and R5 are each independently selected from the group consisting of hydrogen; hydrazine; halogen; substituted or unsubstituted (C1-C16) alkyl; substituted or unsubstituted (C6-C16) aryl; substituted or Unsubstituted (C3-C16)cycloalkyl; substituted or unsubstituted 5 to 7 membered heterocycloalkyl; substituted or unsubstituted with one or more cycloalkyl (C6) -C16) aryl; 5 to 7 membered heterocycloalkyl fused to one or more substituted or unsubstituted aromatic rings, or with one or more substituted or unsubstituted aromatic rings a fused (C3-C16)cycloalkyl; substituted or unsubstituted (C1-C16)nonanyl; cyano; nitro; or hydroxy; n is greater than or equal to 1; x is from 0 to 4; And y is from 0 to 5, wherein the dopant is a P-type dopant. Such polymers with and without dopants can be used to make films and electronic devices, such as organic light emitting diodes (OLEDs).
