titleOfInvention Side insulating lining for electrolysis unit
abstract FIELD: technological processes. n SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrolytic cell for aluminum production, which contains casing with side walls and lateral insulation lining covering side walls and containing: heat-insulating elements from compressible material, spacing elements from refractory material, having at least one lateral side, wherein heat-insulating elements and spacer elements are alternately applied on at least one side wall of casing, and inner lining units arranged so that each inner lining unit rests against lateral side of at least two spacer elements. Side insulation lining additionally contains protective elements from refractory material or outer lining plate. n EFFECT: higher efficiency and longer service life of the electrolysis cell. n 20 cl, 4 dwg
