abstract | FIELD: medicine. n SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, specifically to ophthalmology. For determination of concentration and volume of an air-gas tamponade at single-port local vitrectomy in patients with rhegmatogenous retinal detachment and presence of local traction syndrome prior to the operation there is measured by ultrasonic biomicroscopy the retinal rupture diameter in mm and the height of its detachment in mm, molar mass of the plugging gas in g/mol. Calculated is the concentration of the plugging gas in the air-gas mixture in percentage by formula: P = 772.5e -0.0217μ and the volume of the air-gas mixture, in ml, is calculated by formula: V = 0.042d 2 h(3.5-0.013μ) where P is the concentration of the plugging gas,%; µ is the molar mass of the plugging gas, g/mol; V is the volume of the air-gas mixture, ml; d is the diameter of the retina rupture, mm; h is the height of the retinal detachment, mm; e is mathematical constant of natural logarithm base (exponent). n EFFECT: method enables more effective surgical management due to increased accuracy of selection of concentration and volume of a gas tamponade. n 1 cl, 2 ex |
