FIELD: chemistry. n SUBSTANCE: invention relates to industrial ammonium nitrate explosives, particularly a method of producing water-resistant ammonal. The method involves mixing ammonium nitrate (ammonium saltpeter) with water-repellent agents in form of stearates in amount of not less than 0.1% of the weight of the product and iron (III) compounds in amount of not less than 0.03% of the weight of the product (in terms of iron), with trinitrotoluene and aluminium powder. First, a mixture of saltpeter and a hydrophobic additive is prepared by mixing and simultaneously grinding together with stearates and iron (III) compounds, after which trinitrotoluene and aluminium powder are added. n EFFECT: invention reduces power consumption of the process and its duration, while also increasing water resistance of the product. n 1 cl, 2 tbl |
