abstract FIELD: chemistry. n SUBSTANCE: sulphide-arsenic material contains components in the following ratio, at %: arsenic 51-53, sulphur 49-47. The method of producing highly pure material involves fusing elementary arsenic and sulphur in ratio 51-53:49-47 at %:, respectively, at temperature not higher than 450°C in the presence of carbon disulphide vapour, after which the obtained melt undergoes fine purification via vacuum distillation with evaporation rate of (1-5* 10 -4 g/cm 2 * s). Invention enables to obtain ultra-pure sulphide-arsenic material with oxygen impurity content of (1-2)10 -7 wt %.
