abstract FIELD: medicine; ophthalmology. n SUBSTANCE: phacoemulsifier can be used for extraction of cataract by means of phacoemulsification. Ultrasonic handle has casing and wave-guide disposed onto handle. Wave-guide has concentrator, multiple number of piezoelectric elements and clutching. There is aspiration channel in center of members mentioned before. There is cavity between casing and concentrator made for wash with irrigation solution. At least four gashes disposed symmetrically axis are made onto external surface of base. Widths of gashes equal to 0,5-1,0 mm. Operational and post-operational complications can be reduced due to efficient cooling of wave-guide and due to higher stability of ultrasonic oscillation system during process of generation of longitudinal oscillations. n EFFECT: reduced risk of complications; higher efficiency of operation. n 3 dwg, 1 ex
