The present invention relates to a lithium metal electrode having a multilayer structure and a method of manufacturing the same. More particularly, the present invention relates to a lithium metal electrode having a multi-layered structure in which a buffer layer made of lithium nitride (Li 3 N) is formed on a lithium metal plate and a protective layer made of LiBON is formed on the buffer layer Layer structure of a lithium metal electrode in which a lithium nitride buffer layer and a LiBON protective layer are continuously formed on a lithium metal plate by a lithium metal electrode and a reactive sputtering method. The multi-layered lithium metal electrode of the present invention can protect the moisture of lithium metal or the reactivity in a battery environment and prevent dendrite formation by forming a protective layer.
