abstract The present invention relates to a novel ligand compound, a transition metal compound and a catalyst composition comprising the same. The novel ligand compounds and transition metal compounds of the present invention can be usefully used as catalysts for the polymerization reaction in the production of olefinic polymers having low density. In addition, the olefin polymer obtained by polymerization using the catalyst composition containing the transition metal compound is capable of producing a high molecular weight product having a low melt index (MI).
