abstract |
[PROBLEMS] To provide a cured film-forming composition suitable for forming a cured film having excellent liquid crystal alignability and close durability, to provide an alignment material, and to provide a retardation using the alignment material. The cured film-forming composition comprises (A) a compound having one photo-oriented group and one selected from the group consisting of a hydroxyl group, a carboxyl group, an amino group and an alkoxysilyl group, (B) at least one of a hydroxyl group and a carboxyl group (C) a compound having a hydroxyl group and a (meth) acryl group other than the component (A). The cured film-forming composition is used to form a cured film, and an alignment material is formed by using a photo-alignment technique. A polymerizable liquid crystal is applied on the alignment material and cured to obtain a retardation. |
