abstract The present invention relates to a serum-free solution for hepatocyte cryopreservation and a method for preserving hepatocyte cryopreservation using the same, which comprises HTK (histidine-tryptophan-ketoglutaric acid) solution, dimethylsulfoxide (DMSO), and human serum albumin, It shows very high survival rate and adhesion rate without addition of fetal serum (FBS) and shows high albumin synthesis rate. Therefore, it is possible to use it immediately after defrosting because the necessary purification process is not necessary when serum is included, and it is possible to eliminate the risk of unnecessary pathogen infection during freezing and thawing.
