abstract The machine vision alignment system 1 for aligning a testing device 60 comprises an alignment camera 50 arranged on the alignment side 2 of the alignment system 1. An illumination system 80 for emitting light onto the test element 60 is located in proximity to the alignment camera 50. Alignment target 10 is used to define an alignment target 10 coordinate system. Three actuators 30 are disposed in the test section 30 of the vision alignment system 1 to correct the offset 70 between the alignment target 10 and the test element 60. A pick and place handler 100 transfers the alignment target 10 and the test element 60 between the test section 3 and the alignment section 2.
