abstract | In the process of the present invention, a solvent-soluble polyimide is prepared by polycondensing at least one tetracarboxylic acid component and at least one diamine component in a solvent in the presence of a tertiary amine. The tetracarboxylic acid component is represented by the following formula (1):n n n (One)n n n Tetracarboxylic dianhydride represented by (where R is as defined in the specification), and the following formula (2):n n n (2)n n n (Wherein R and Y 1 to Y 4 are as defined in the specification), and selected from the group consisting of tetracarboxylic acids and derivatives thereof. Unlike the prior art which uses an excessive amount of a chemical imidation agent such as acetic anhydride and a chemical imidation catalyst such as triethylamine, the method of the present invention uses only the catalytic amount of the tertiary amine so that the solvent-soluble poly The mead is produced with good productivity in the solvent. |
