abstract | The present invention relates to an electrolyte and a secondary battery comprising the same, wherein the electrolyte comprises a sulfonic solvent represented by the formula (1), an ether solvent represented by the formula (2), and an electrolyte salt represented by the formula (3). The contents of the above Chemical Formulas 1 to 3 are the same as those described in the description of the invention or claims. The electrolyte may be used in a secondary battery operated by multivalent cations such as Mg 2+ or Ca 2+ , which is not a monovalent cation such as Li + ions, to thereby increase the capacity of the secondary battery. It is possible to maximize the characteristics of the magnesium metal cathode or the calcium metal cathode battery by suppressing formation of a film having a very large resistance on the surface of the magnesium metal cathode or calcium metal anode to be used. |
