abstract Through vias and conductive routing layers of a semiconductor substrate and associated fabrication methods are disclosed herein. In one embodiment, a method for processing a semiconductor substrate includes forming an aperture in a semiconductor substrate through a dielectric of the semiconductor substrate. The aperture has a first end open to the dielectric and a second end opposed to the first end. The method also includes forming a plurality of recesses in the dielectric and simultaneously depositing a conductive material into at least a portion of the aperture and the recesses.
