abstract |
The present invention relates to a positive electrode active material for a lithium secondary battery having excellent conductivity, a method of manufacturing the same, and a lithium secondary battery including the same. The cathode active material for a lithium secondary battery of the present invention is formed by coating a thermoplastic polymer on a core portion of a lithium metal oxide secondary particle formed by agglomeration of lithium metal oxide primary particles and an outer surface of the core portion, and then heat treating the thermoplastic polymer to melt and thermally decompose it. It includes a conductive carbon body dispersed in the pores between the outer surface of the core portion and a plurality of primary particles inside the core portion. Since the cathode active material of the present invention has improved conductivity, it is possible to improve high rate discharge characteristics and low temperature characteristics of a lithium secondary battery. |
