titleOfInvention | Sphingobium sp. microorganism degrading polychlorinated biphenyls and method for environmental cleanup using the same |
abstract | The present invention relates to a strain of the genus Sphingobium , which is a microorganism for environmental purification, and more specifically, the sphingobiium strain KMG425 which decomposes and removes a polychlorinated biphenyls (PCB) compound isolated from wastewater. And it relates to a decomposition-removal method of the chloride biphenyl compound using the strain. Sphingodium strain KMG425, a microorganism of the present invention, has a useful feature that can decompose and remove biphenyl chloride, an environmental hormone toxic to humans and other organisms, and thus, wastewater contaminated through biodegradation using the microorganism, By removing chlorinated biphenyl compounds from sewage, river, sea water or soil, it can be effectively used to clean and restore the environment. |
