A positive electrode binder composition having excellent oxidation resistance is provided. Furthermore, the slurry for positive electrodes manufactured using this binder composition, a positive electrode, and a lithium ion secondary battery are provided. The present invention relates to a positive electrode comprising a graft copolymer obtained by graft copolymerizing a monomer mainly composed of acrylonitrile on polyvinyl alcohol having an average degree of polymerization of 300 to 3000 and a saponification degree of 70 to 100 mol%. A binder composition is provided. Moreover, it is set as the slurry for positive electrodes containing this binder composition for positive electrodes, a positive electrode active material, and a conductive support agent. Furthermore, it is set as the positive electrode manufactured using this positive electrode slurry, and the lithium ion secondary battery manufactured using the positive electrode. |
