abstract | An object of the present invention is to provide a composite semipermeable membrane that maintains its performance under high temperature and pressure and has high water permeability. The composite semipermeable membrane of the present invention comprises a substrate, a porous support layer located on the substrate, and a separation functional layer located on the porous support layer, and the separation functional layer comprises a crosslinked wholly aromatic polyamide. When the surface of the separation functional layer is observed in pure water with an atomic force microscope, the deformation amount when the convex portion is pushed in with a force of 5 nN is obtained. The convex part which becomes 2.5 nm or less occupies 40% or more, the intermediate value of the convex part height is 100 nm or more, and the film thickness of the separation functional layer of the convex part is 20 nm or less. |
