titleOfInvention | Process for producing carbon monoxide-vinyl alcohol copolymer, carbon monoxide-vinyl alcohol copolymer and water-resistant composition using the same |
abstract | A novel CO-modified carbon monoxide-vinyl alcohol copolymer (CO-modified PVA) having a carbonyl group in the main chain, having good water solubility and excellent viscosity stability when used as an aqueous composition PVA and its manufacturing method are provided. Carbon monoxide-vinyl ester copolymer obtained by copolymerization of carbon monoxide and vinyl ester monomer in an atmosphere containing carbon monoxide without solvent or in an alcohol solvent. A method of obtaining CO-modified PVA by saponifying the copolymer. Further, the unit content based on carbon monoxide is 0.01 to 8 mol%, the saponification degree is 60 to 99.99 mol%, and the viscosity when an aqueous solution having a concentration of 4 wt% is 2.0. The CO-modified PVA is ˜150.0 mPa · s. |
