abstract | PURPOSE:To obtain the titled formed article by impregnating and/or applying a fungicidal and insecticidal agricultural chemical compound to a water-soluble paper containing a fibrous carboxymethylcellulose and to apply the obtained formed article in and/or on the soil in a nursing box of especially rice plant. CONSTITUTION:The objective formed article is produced by applying a fungicidal and insecticidal agricultural chemical compound directly or in the form of a solution to a water-soluble paper composed of a fibrous carboxymethylcellulose or its mixture with a paper-making fiber. The application of the compound is carried out by spraying, immersion or coating. The formed article is inserted into the soil or applied to the surface of the soil in a nursing box of various crops, especially rice to effect the control of blight and vermin. The applied compound in the water-soluble paper is rapidly dissolved with water in the soil or sprinkled water to uniformly diffuse the active component into the culture soil or on the plant body. The labor for application can be saved and the staining of hands by the operation can be prevented. If the mixing of active components is difficult, plural water-soluble papers each containing respective chemical compound are used in stacked form. |
