titleOfInvention Freshness-keeping agent for vegetables, fruits and flowers
abstract PURPOSE: To keep vegetables or fruits in fresh state over a long period, by combining a specific crystalline high-silica zeolite with a deoxidation agent as essential active components. n CONSTITUTION: The freshness-keeping agent for vegetables, fruits and flowers (hereinafter called as vegetables and fruits) contains a crystalline high-silica zeolite having an SiO 2 /Al 2 O 3 molar ratio of about ≥25 and a deoxidation agent as essential active components. The weight ratio of the high-silica zeolite to the deoxidation agent is preferably 3:7W7:3. The deoxidation agent is e.g. powder of pure metal such as iron or aluminum, its partial oxide, a ferrous compound such as ferrous sulfate or ferrous oxide, hydrosulfide or sulfide of an alkali metal or organic reducing substance such as ascorbic acid or its salts. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1988,JPO&Japio
