abstract PURPOSE: To obtain a structural adhesive useful in welding sections of automobiles, by blending an adhesive consisting of a specific rubber-modified epoxy resin an aliphatic epoxy resin, latent curing agent and electrically conductive carbon black with flaky mica powder. n CONSTITUTION: The aimed adhesive obtained by blending (A) 100pts.wt. adhesive consisting of (i) 100pts.wt. rubber-modified epoxy resin prepared by reacting 50W90wt.% bisphenol type epoxy resin with 5W50wt.% liquid butadiene acrylonitrile copolymer rubber containing average 1.5W2.5 carboxyl groups in one molecule and 10W30wt.% acrylonitrile, (ii) 5W30pts.wt. aliphatic epoxy resin, (iii) 1W30pts.wt. latent curing agent (e.g. dicyandiamide) and (iv) 1W10pts.wt. electrically conductive carbon black with (B) 5W30pts.wt. flaky mica powder. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1988,JPO&Japio
