titleOfInvention Antitumor-active substance and production thereof
abstract PURPOSE: To readily and inexpensively obtain the titled substance with high antitumor activity and low toxicity without microbial pollution, by heat-treating plant seeds, adding an aqueous solvent and an enzymatic agent, and extracting and purifying a protein component. n CONSTITUTION: Plant seeds (processed product) are initially heat-treated and then an aqueous solvent and an enzymatic agent are added thereto. From the solution, are extracted a protein component and a proteinic substance is purified from the extract to afford the aimed substance. More specifically, a raw material is thermally sterilized at 60W120°C, and an aqueous solvent, such as acetic acid, and an enzymatic agent, such as protease, are added thereto and extraction is carried out at 3W50°C for 2W20 days. The extract is filtered and ammonium sulfate is added to the resultant filtrate to form precipitates, which are recovered and purified to afford the aimed substance. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1988,JPO&Japio
