titleOfInvention Thermal sensitive recording material
abstract PURPOSE:To obtain a thermal sensitive recording material which improves coloring density and sensitivity and has excellent thermal responsiveness by using precursor dye eutectic with 2-benzyloxynaphthalene. CONSTITUTION:In a thermal sensitive recording material which mainly contains a developer for coloring in reaction with normally colorless or pale color precursor dye at heating time, the preferably using amount of 2-benzyloxynaphthalene is 5-500wt% to the dye. To obtain the eutectic mixture of the dye and the 2-benzyloxyhnaphthalene, a method of dissolving both in solvent, mixing, drying and then finely pulverizing the mixture or a method of adding both in water heated near boiling point to sufficiently heat both, melting both in eutectic mixture while agitating, and then cooling it can be arbitrarily selected. The dye may use tripheylmethane, fluoran, diphenylmethane, thiazine or spropyrane compounds, and the developer may use electron acceptance compounds such as phenol derivatives, aromatic carboxylic acid derivatives.
