NEW MATERIAL:A compound expressed by formula I [R 2 represents (protected) carboxyl; A represents -CH 2 - or formula II; X represents halogen atom] and salt thereof. n EXAMPLE: Benzhydryl 7-(4-bromoacetoacetamide)-3-vinyl-3-cephem-4-carboxylate. n USE: A raw compound for producing a 7-substituted-3-vinyl-3-cephem compound (salt) as an antimicrobial agent for oral administration. n PREPARATION: For example, a compound expressed by formula III, reactive derivative thereof at its amino group or salt thereof is reacted with a compound expressed by the formula XCH 2 COCH 2 COOH, reactive derivative thereof at its carboxyl group or salt thereof normally in an inert solvent such as water, acetone, dioxane, etc., to obtain the compound expressed by formula I wherein the group A represents -CH 2 -. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1987,JPO&Japio |
