titleOfInvention Polybutylene terephthalate composition
abstract PURPOSE:To improve antistatic properties, etc., without detriment to impact resistance, etc., by blending a polybutylene terephthalate resin having a specified relative viscosity with a metal salt of a specified alkylsulfonic acid and paraffin wax, etc. CONSTITUTION:100pts.wt. polybutylene terephthalate resin (A) having a relative viscosity of 1.3-2 is blended with 0.01-10pts.wt. metal salt of an alkylsulfonic acid (B) of formula I (wherein R is an alkyl having m carbon atoms; R' is an alkyl having n carbon atoms; m>=2, n>=2 and 6<=m+n<=30; M is a metal atom; and P is the number of electric charges of metal M) and 0.01-10pts.wt. paraffin wax or olefin wax (C) to obtain the desired polybutylene terephthalate compsn. Preferred examples of the component B are compds. of formulas II (a+b=10-18) and III (c+d+e=9-16; f=0, 1-6).
