titleOfInvention | Production of laminated glass |
abstract | PURPOSE: To readily obtain laminated glass having external appearance, etc., by standwhiching an interlayer consisting of a vinyl based thermoplastic resin of a specific composition containing a plasticizer between glass plates, putting the resultant assembly in a vacuum bag, decompressing and deaerating the bag and heating the assembly. n CONSTITUTION: (A) Vinyl chloride is copolymerized which (B) glycidyl methacrylate and (C) one or more monomers selected from ethylenic hydrocarbons, e.g. ethylene, vinyl esters of fatty acids, e.g. vinyl acetate, acrylic acid esters, e.g. methyl acrylate, and vinyl ethers, e.g. methyl vinyl ether, to produce a thermoplastic resin. A plasticizer, e.g. dioctyl phthalate, is then added to the resultant thermoplastic resin to form an interlayer, which is further sandwiched between glass plates. The resultant assembly is put in a vacuum bag and the interior of the bag is decompressed and deaerated. The assembly is then heated to afford the aimed laminated glass. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1987,JPO&Japio |
