titleOfInvention Manufacture of laminated glass
abstract PURPOSE: To manufacture laminated glass free from bubbles in a considerably shortened process by forming an interlayer with a specified thermoplastic resin copolymer contg. a plasticizer, covering both sides of the interlayer with sheet glass, and subjecting the resulting assembly to degassing under reduced pressure, heating under reduced pressure and pressing with a press-bonding roll. n CONSTITUTION: A thermoplastic resin copolymer is prepared by copolymerizing vinyl chloride with glycidyl methacrylate (component A) and ≥1 kind of monomer (component B) selected from ethylenic hydrocarbons such as ethylene, aliphatic vinyl compounds such as vinyl acetate, etc. At this time, the component A content is preferably adjusted to 1W10wt%, and the component B content to ≤10wt%. The copolymer is mixed with a plasticizer, and an interlayer is formed by a known working method. The interlayer is put between ≥2 sheets of sheet glass, and after removing bubbles at the interface between the interlayer and the glass at ≤80°C under reduced pressure, the interlayer contacting with the glass is cured by heating to 90W140°C. The resulting assembly is then press-bonded with a press-bonding roll to manufacture the desired laminated glass. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1982,JPO&Japio
