PURPOSE: To obtain laminaripentaose useful as an intermediate for a sweetener, an inclusion agent, having antitumor activity, alleviating action on microbism, by treating a specific β-1,3 glucosyl saccharide compound (partial hydrolyzate) with a specific β-1,3 glucosidase. n CONSTITUTION: A bacterium (e.g., Streptomyces matensis DIC-108) belonging to the genus Streptomyces, capable of hydrolyzing a β-1,3 glucosyl saccharide compound (partial hydrolyzate) into laminaripentaose, is subjected to liquid culture at 5.0W8.0pH at 20W50°C for 1W6 days aerobically, to give β-1,3 glucosidase. 1W10wt% aqueous solution or suspension of a β-1,3 glucosyl saccharide compound (partial hydrolyzate) is reacted with 50W1,000 units/l of 14W15μg/mg of the enzyme at 4W8.5pH at 30W70°C for 30minW24hr. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1986,JPO&Japio |
