PURPOSE: To provide an agent for vaginal application, containing a carbonate and an acid. n CONSTITUTION: The objective agent can be prepared by mixing a carbonate (e.g. NaHCO 3 , Na 2 CO 3 , K 2 CO 3 , etc.) and an acid (e.g. citric acid, tartaric acid, ascorbic acid, dihydrogen sodium phosphate, etc.) at a ratio of 10:(3W30), especially 10:(3:W15), adding the mixture to an agent for vaginal application in an amount of 1W100wt%, especially 20W100wt%, and adding 0.1W40wt% pharmacologically active substance (e.g. nonsteroidal acidic anti-inflammatory agent such as aspirin, indomethacin, etc.; glucoamylase inhibitor; peptide-type antitumor substance such as bleomycin; enzymatic agent such as trypsin; gonadotropic hormone, etc.). n EFFECT: The congestion in the uterus can be dissolved when used in the menstrual period, and the functional dysmenorrhea can be mitigated.
