(57) [Summary]nThe wet micronized progesterone is prepared by gradually mixing the micronized progesterone and an amount of water that does not exceed the maximum amount capable of wetting the micronized progesterone; % To give a substantially dry micronized progesterone; mixing the substantially dry micronized progesterone with another pharmaceutically acceptable carrier or diluent; A method for preparing a tablet for vaginal administration of systemic progesterone, comprising the step of directly compressing a substantially dry micronized progesterone mixed with an acceptable carrier or diluent to prepare a tablet. Tablets so prepared are provided, as well as tablets containing about 6-20% by weight progesterone and about 5-12% by weight boiling agent. |
