abstract | PURPOSE: To obtain the titled resin compsn. having improved melt flow characteristics, by blending an ethylene/acrylate copolymer with polybutylene terephthalate. n CONSTITUTION: A polybutylene terephthalate resin compsn. contains 0.1W10wt% (based on the combined quantity of polybutylene terephthalate and ethylene/ acrylate copolymer) ethylene/acrylate copolymer having a number-average MW of 1,500W8,000, composed at ethylene and acrylate in a weight ratio of 1:10W10:1. As the polybutylene terephthalate, poly-1,4-butylene terephthalate is particularly preferred. As the acrylate, esters derived from a 1W4C alcohol and acrylic acid preferred.
