titleOfInvention | Polyester resin composition having excellent impact strength |
abstract | PURPOSE: To provide the titled compsn. having excellent impact resistance, moldability, etc., by melt-kneading a PET polyester, a poly(1,4-butylene terephthalate) polyester and a metal salt of a specified copolymer in a specified weight ratio. n CONSTITUTION: 85W15pts.wt. polyethylene terephthalate polyester (A), 15W85pts. wt. poly(1,4-butylene terephthalate) polyester (B) and 20W50pts.wt. metal salt (C) of an α-olefin/α,β-unsaturated carboxylic acid copolymer which has an α,β-unsaturated carboxylic acid content of 1W30mol% and in which at least 20mol% of carboxyl groups is in the form of a mono- to trivalent metal are mixed together. The mixture is melt-kneaded to such an extent that when the kneaded compsn. is dissolved in a mixture of phenol and tetrachloroethane (1:1 by weight) at 23°C to give a concn. of 4wt%, no layer separation of component C is caused, thus obtaining the titled resin compsn. for injection molding. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1986,JPO&Japio |
