abstract | PURPOSE: To obtain easily Type I aluminium dihydrogen tripoly-phosphate of high purity without generating by-products by mixing specific proportion of P 2 O 5 with oxide of Al or hydrated oxide of Al, hydrating the P 2 O 5 to contain specified proportion of H 2 O, then heating the mixture. n CONSTITUTION: P 2 O 5 and Al oxide or hydrated oxide of Al are mixed in 1.5W10 molar ratio of P 2 O 5 /Al 2 O 3 ,and P 2 O 5 is hydrated to contain 0.5W40% water, then the mixture is heated at 200W500°C. For example, O' type P 2 O 5 and α-alumina are weighed in 3 molar ratio of P 2 O 5 /Al 2 O 3 and the mixture is mixed in CCl 4 ; then, the CCl 4 is removed by evacuating the mixture. The mixture is charged in a desiccator to humidity the P 2 O 5 . The humidified mixture is sealed in a glass tube and heat-treated for 24hr. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1986,JPO&Japio |
