titleOfInvention Contact lens and its preparation
abstract PURPOSE:To improve an oxygen permeability and a strength, a machining, a dimensional stability, a transparent and a water wettability of the surface of contact lens which are required to a hard contact lens by incorporating a polymer having a specific structural skeleton and a three dimentional cross- linking structure to the titled lens. CONSTITUTION:The titled lens comprises four components; namely a fumaric acid ester unit having formula I wherein R1 and R2 are each a hydrogen atom or 1-15C an alkyl group, R1 and R2 are not both hydrogen atoms, and an acrylic acid ester unit shown by formula II wherein R3 is a methyl group, R4 is 1-15C an alkyl, and one or more of the compd. residue selected from the group consisting of an unsaturated monocarboxylic acid allyl or vinyl ester, an unsaturated dicarboxylic acid mono or divinyl ester, and an unsaturated tricarboxylic acid mono, di or tri ester, and one or more of the compd. residue selected from the group consisting of an unsaturated carboxylic acid, an unsaturated carboxylic acid amide, an unsaturated carboxylic acid hydroxyalkyl ester and an N-vinyl lactam. The titled contact lens comprises the polymer having the polyfumaric acid mono or di ester skelton and the poly(metha) acrylic acid alkyl ester skelton and the three dimensional cross-linking structure.
