PURPOSE: To obtain a polyol for the raw material of isocyanate resin, by adding a specific polyfunctional hydrogen compound to a waste polyethylene terephthalate (PET) resin, and reacting at a specific temperature to depolymerize the PET molecule. n CONSTITUTION: Waste PET resin produced during the production process or from used PET product is added with an active hydrogen compound having 2W4 functional groups [e.g. (di)ethylene glycol, glycerol, (di)ethanolamine, etc.] and if necessary, preferably 10W30% polycarboxylic acid or its anhydride.
