PURPOSE: To provide high sensitivity to infrared light and to prevent a change in the sensitivity during storage by forming a layer of an emulsion contg. silver chloride particles and a specified amount of water soluble bromide after spectrally sensitizing the emulsion to infrared light with a specified dye. n CONSTITUTION: This photosensitive material has a layer of a silver halide (AgX) emulsion contg. silver chloride in the AgX particles and water soluble bromide added by 0.0003W0.01mol per 1mol silver after finishing chemical aging. The emulsion layer is formed after spectrally sensitizing the emulsion to infrared light with a tricarbocyanine dye and/or a dicarbocyanine dye having a 4-quinoline ring. The photosensitive material contains a dye absorbing light of ≥750nm wavelengths besides said sensitizing dyes. By using the photographic AgX emulsion having said composition, the sensitivity of the photosensitive material to infrared light is increased, and a change in the sensitivity during storage can be prevented. A change in the sensitivity-fog value of the emulsion in a liq. state before coating is reduced, and an image of high contrast can be obtd. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1985,JPO&Japio |
