titleOfInvention Silver halide photographic sensitive material
abstract PURPOSE:To obtain the silver halide photosensitive material having a less residual color and an excellent shelf-life with age by comprising a silver halide emulsion layer spectrally sensitized by a cationic tricarbocyanine dye and/or a cationic dicarbocyanine dye, and a hydrophilic colloid layer contg. a specified dyestuff in the sensitive material. CONSTITUTION:The sensitive material comprises at least one layer of the silver halide emulsion layers spectrally sensitized by at least one kind of the cationic tricarbocyanine dye and/or the cationic dicarbocyanine dye and the hydrophilic colloid layer contg. at least one kind of the dyes shown by formula I. In formula I, R1-R6 are each alkyl group, Z1 and Z2 are each a nonmetal atomic group necessary for forming a benzocondensed ring or a naphthocondensed ring, L is methine group, X<-> is an anion, (n) is an integer of 1 or 2. Thus, the photosensitive material having the less residual color at the time of development processing, the high sensitivity against infra-red rays and the excellent shelf-life with age is obtd.
