titleOfInvention Coating composition
abstract PURPOSE: To provide a coating compsn. having excellent film forming properties, adhesion, resistance to water and solvents, etc., by dispersing a polyurethane having an average particle size within a specified range or said polyurethane and a fine vinyl polymer powder in an aq. medium. n CONSTITUTION: A fine polyurethane polymer powder having an average particle size of 0.03W0.3μ and a light transmittance (0.03% aq. dispersion) of 34W99.5% is prepd. Said polyurethane alone is dispersed in an aq. medium, or said polyurethane and a fine vinyl polymer powder having an average particle size of 0.01W 0.2μ and a light transmittance (0.03% aq. dispersion) of 61W99.5% are dispersed in an aq. medium to obtain the desired coating compsn. Preferred vinyl polymers include acrylic polymers composed of a major portion of a (meth)acrylate ester and a minor portion of an α,β-unsaturated carboxylic acid as monomer components. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1985,JPO&Japio
