titleOfInvention 26-halogenated vitamin d3 derivative, its preparation and drug comprising it as active ingredient
abstract NEW MATERIAL:A compound shown by the formula I (X is halogen; A is hydroxymethylene, or carbonyl; R is H, or hydroxyl group). n EXAMPLE: 26-Fluoro-24(R)-hydroxyvitamin D 3 . n USE: Useful as a remedy or preventive for bone lesion such as osteoporosis, osteomalacia, etc. Also useful as antitumor agent for differentaiting and introducing human myelogenous leukemia call into normal cell. n PREPARATION: A 26-halogenated cholest-diene derivative shown by the formula II(R' is H, hydroxyl group, or hydroxyl-protecting group; R" is H, or protecting group) is irradiated with ultraviolet rays, subjected to thermal isomerization, and, if necessary, deprotected to give a compound shown by the formula III. The ultraviolet rays have about 200W360nm wavelength range, especially 260W310nm wavelength range. the irradiation is carried out in an inert organic solvent such as hexane, heptane, etc. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1985,JPO&Japio
