titleOfInvention Preparation of immobilized enzyme or microorganism
abstract PURPOSE: To prepare a stable immobilized enzyme or microorganism having a stable activity for a long term without the elimination of the enzyme or microorganism from the interior of the gel, by using sodium alginate as a raw material. n CONSTITUTION: An enzyme or microorganism and a water-soluble polycationic high polymer, e.g. a polyalkyleneimine, chitosan or a neutral salt thereof, etc. are mixed with an aqueous solution of sodium alginate, and the resultant mixture is then brought into contact with an aqueous solution containing calcium ion or aluminum ion, and gelatinized, and if desired the resultant gel is reacted with a polyfunctional crosslinking agent to carry out the surface treatment thereof. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1984,JPO&Japio
