titleOfInvention Developing solution for photosensitive lithographic printing plate
abstract PURPOSE: To improve the development stability, developability and processability of a lithographic printing plate having a photosensitive layer contg. an o-quinone diazide compound by using an aqueous soln. contg. alkali silicate and a water- soluble alkali compound of a specified metal such as Sn as a developing soln. n CONSTITUTION: A developing soln. contg. 1W10wt% alkali silicate such as sodium silicate and a water-soluble alkali compound of Sn, Pb, Fe, Co or Ni, especially a complex such as [Co(NH 3 ) 6 ]Cl 3 or a metallic chelate compound such as K 2 [Ni(edta)] is prepd. The amount of the alkali compound is 0.005W 0.2wt% of the total amount of the developing soln. When the developing soln. is used, the development stability of a lithographic printing plate (PS plate) having a photosensitive layer contg. an o-quinone diazide compound is improved, conditions during development are easily controlled, and the processability of the plate is improved. The discharge of an exhausted soln. is reduced, so the treatment of waste liquor is facilitated. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1984,JPO&Japio
