titleOfInvention Adhesive curable with electron rays
abstract PURPOSE: The titled adhesive that is made by adding acrylic or methacrylic acid to epoxy groups in a polymer resulting from polymerization of glycidyl acrylate or methacrylate monomer, thus being curable in a short time, showing high initial adhesion and giving the flexible adhesive bond. n CONSTITUTION: The objective adhesive is obtained by adding (A) acrylic or methacrylic acid to a part of the epoxy groups in (B) the polymer containing epoxy groups made by polymerizing a mixture of (i) glycidyl acrylate monomer as the major component, when necessary, (ii) other acrylic or methacrylic esters and other vinyl monomers at a ratio 10W5,000pts.wt. of (ii) to 100pts. of (i), thus containing both epoxy groups and acryloyl or methacryloyl groups. Preferably component B is added by 0.3W0.6mol per 1mol of the epoxy group in component A. n USE: Adhesive for paper, plastic and metal films. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1982,JPO&Japio
