abstract PURPOSE: To provide a flame retardant composition having excellent thermal stability in the melt molding process and giving a molded product having high mechanical strength, by compounding a thermoplastic polyester with antimony trioxide treated with an alkoxysilane, and an organic halogen compound. n CONSTITUTION: The objective composition is prepared by compounding (A) 100pts.wt. of a thermoplastic resin prferably polyethylene terephthalate or polybutylene terephthalate with (B) 0.1W30pts. (as halogen element) of an organic halogen compound, (C) 0.1W20pts.
