titleOfInvention Polyester sheet for heat forming
abstract PURPOSE: Polyethylene glycol of a specific molecular weight and a metal salt of sulfonic acid are combined together with a polyester to produce the titled sheet with a satisfactory level of antistatic property as well as transparency and improved heat-sealability. n CONSTITUTION: 100pts.wt. of polyester in which more than 75mol% of the dicarboxylic acid component is terephthalic acid and more than 75mol% of the glycol component is ethylene glycol are combined with 0.1W1, preferably 0.2W0.5pt., of polyethylene glycol with an average molecular weight of 5,000W15,000 and 0.05W 0.5, preferably 0.1W0.3pt. of an alkali metal salt of alkylsulfonic acid, preferably of 8 or more carbon atoms. The total amount of the polyethylene glycol and the metal salt is 0.2W2, preferably 0.4W1.0pt./100pts. of the polyester. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1981,JPO&Japio
