NEW MATERIAL:A 1-substituted imidazole derivative expressed by formula I (X is O or S; A is alkylene; B is alkylene or alkenylene; R is H, or lower alkyl) and a salt thereof. n EXAMPLE: Ethyl β-[5-(1-imidazolymethyl)-2-thienyl]acrylate. n USE: A remedy for inflammation, hypertension, thrombosis, cerebral apoplexy and asthma having a powerful inhibitory activity against the biosynthesis of thromboxane A 2 . n PROCESS: Imidazole is reacted with a compound of formula II in an inert organic solvent in the presence of a base at room temperature for 5W20hr with stirring to give the compound of formula I. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1981,JPO&Japio |
